Black Devil Yard Boss (BDYB) are armed with their latest album ‘Black Devil Rising’ & music video for the single ‘Devil Be Gone’.
BDYB is Pete Williamson (ex-Mammal and ex-Pete Murray’s Stonemasons) with Zane Rosanoski (ex-Mammal) and Michael ‘Big D’ Davids (ex-Pete Murray’s Stonemasons), who share an undeniable chemistry forged during years of touring, friendship, and making music together.
The bands’ debut album ‘Black Devil Rising’ was independently released on Friday the 2nd of September through Green Media and debuted at number 11 on the AIR (Australian Independent Record Labels) album chart. ‘Black Devil Rising’ was produced, mixed and mastered by the great Lindsay Gravina (The Living End, Jet, Spiderbait etc) at Birdland studios in Melbourne, achieving the bands vision of an up-tempo wall of blues-influenced fuzzy rock.
‘Black Devil Rising’ was funded partly by the bands fans who pre-ordered the album before it was made, in return the fans were given a signed copy and their name credited on the album as an Executive Producer.
BDYB have supported Dead Letter Circus around Australia and were also special guests on the Shihad national tour. Earlier this year BDYB completed a national headline tour with The Delta Riggs and the band was featured as one of the top bands to watch in 2011 by Blunt magazine.
Tight? Check. Rocking? Are you kidding? Check. Improv magic? Check. Funk? Absolutely. Blues? Yep, that too. Whatever you like to label it, BDYB is soulcleansing, ass-shaking, smile-making, audio love.

SMASH STUFF
CIRCLING ROUND, WITH YOUR ARMS,
SWINGING OUT IN A MINDLESS CAGE.
THROW THROUGH GLASS, TIP THE BINS,
ROCKS JUST FALL ON TIN LIKE RAIN.
JUMPING HIGH, WITH THE BEAT,
LOOSE YOUR MIND IN MIDDAY HEAT.
RIP YOUR SHIRT, STORM THE STAGE,
BODIES FALL ON HANDS LIKE RAIN.
LIKE RAIN, RAIN, RAIN, RAIN,
LIKE RAIN.
RAIN, RAIN, RAIN, RAIN.
ALL YOU WANT, ALL YOU WANT,
ALL YOU WANT IS JUST TO SMASH STUFF.
ALL YOU WANT, ALL YOU WANT,
ALL YOU WANT IS JUST TO SMASH STUFF.
A CATTLE CRUSH, INNER RAGE,
PUSHING FORWARD THE PRESSURE GAUGE.
FILL THE VOID, A BORING DAY,
IN THE END WE’RE ALL THE SAME.
IN THE RAIN, WE ALL STAND, TO FEEL THE BEAT AS ITS CALLING.
IN THE RAIN, WE WILL RISE, TO FIGHT THE FIGHT WE NOT FALLING.
